Softshell Crab Week

Soft Shell Week is back on the Outer Banks, and it’s one of the most flavorful times of the year. From May 11th through 16th, Lucky 12 Tavern and 37+ local restaurants will be serving up their own creative take on fresh, locally harvested soft-shell crabs—straight from the shedders to your plate. From classic sandwiches to bold, chef-driven specials, it’s a chance to experience this short-lived coastal delicacy in a whole new way. Grab your crew, try a few different spots, and see who does it best—because around here, soft shells aren’t just a dish… they’re a season.

Spooky 12 Pop-Up Halloween Bar

Every October, we turn Lucky 12 Tavern into Spooky 12 — our Halloween pop-up bar in Nags Head. The bar gets a full seasonal makeover with dark, moody décor, themed drinks, and just the right amount of creepy charm. It’s our way of celebrating the season with good food, great cocktails, and a fun coastal vibe. As part of the Ghostly Gallies of the Outer Banks, Spooky 12 gives locals and visitors a place to unwind, enjoy the atmosphere, and get into the Halloween spirit.

Jingle 12 Pop-Up Christmas Bar

Every December, we transform Lucky 12 Tavern into Jingle 12 — our Christmas-themed pop-up bar that’s become one of the most festive spots on the beach. We close for a few days to completely deck the place out, filling every corner with vintage blow molds and over-the-top Christmas décor we’ve collected from all over the country. It’s bright, welcoming, and full of holiday spirit. We get into the spirit with festive cocktails, a special holiday menu, and a staff full of Christmas cheer. Jingle 12 runs through New Year’s and supports OBX Room in the Inn as part of the 12 Bars of Christmas. So grab your family, friends, or coworkers and come mingle at the Jingle.

C&H Oyster Bar

I’m beyond excited to officially announce that I’m the new owner of the C & H Oyster Bar in Elizabeth City!

This beloved spot has been a staple in the community since 1967, and I’ve always loved it. It’s one of those rare places that just sticks with you. It’s been for sale for a few years, and I kept thinking about it… until one day, I made the call and went for it.

I’ve always appreciated simple, traditional dining - the kind where you sit down, enjoy great seafood, and connect with the people you’re with. That’s exactly what C & H is all about.

I plan to keep it as close to original as possible - the same name, same feel, same menu, and the same spirit that’s made it such a special place for so many.

Stay tuned for updates and follow along over at the C & H Oyster Bar page! I can’t wait to welcome you in soon!
